It's coming! Dawn of War III is due for release sometime next year. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Dawn of War series, I'll backtrack a bit. Dawn of War started off as classic RTS way back 2004 with the initial release of Dawn of War. This was followed by a number of expansions such as Winter Assault and Dark Crusade which added factions like the Tau, Imperial Guard, and Necron. The series was massively popular and is still thought of as a benchmark in RTS design. The popular Company of Heroes series also developed by Relic was very similar in terms of game mechanics. Fast forward a few years to 2009 when Dawn of War II was released. This changed the formula a bit and focused more on an elite strike force rather than base building and resource gathering like the past games. This was followed by two expansions and with the second, Dawn of War: Retribution, The Last Stand mode was introduced; a four-player arena-combat wave-based spin-off. This was hugely popular and was later released as a standalone game.
So now that you're up to date, Dawn of War III!! We don't know much about it yet but from the trailer it looks to be truly epic. The campaign will feature three playable races, Space Marines, Eldar and Orks, with the storyline switching between races. Base building is back but there is still elite personalised units, so it sounds like a bit of mix of the past two games.
So, who's excited?! What are your thoughts and opinions on Dawn of War III? Played any of the Dawn of War games before? We'd love to hear your thoughts.

Astartes - A Warhammer 40,000 Fan Film
Astartes is a Warhammer 40,000 fan film project created by a one-man team and told over the course of a 5-part mini-series. With the recent release of part 5 and the conclusion of this particular chapter in the Astartes series, we thought it a fantastic opportunity to congratulate its creator Syama Pedersen as well as drawn attention to this incredible work of art. Many of you have likely been following the series since its inception in 2018 but for those of you who have not you're in for a treat!
Below are links to each of the five episodes.

Nicholas Kay - Live Streams and Patreon

Way back in May of 2012 we did an artist interview with Nicholas Kay. Nick first came to our attention with his piece Black Templar: The Crusade Begins!. Not only was the piece extremely impressive in and of itself but Nick also documented the whole process and made a series of YouTube tutorials. Nick continued to work on his art, doing tutorials and live streams regularly. However, it didn’t take long before he found himself working as a full time concept artist at Privateer Press. After five years working in the industry Nick has started to get back into live streaming and has set up a Patreon. I’ll pass it
Happy New Year!
Wishing everyone a happy new year and good fortune for 2019
...And We're Back!
Howdy y'all! As some of you may have noticed submissions haven't been going through for the past few months and our galleries have been eerily quite. This is of course due to that ever present distraction we all encounter from time to time: life. But we are back! To all who submitted and received no reply, sorry about that!
We look forward to seeing all of the amazing work that the community will produce this year.
Until next time!
